Job description

Role overview

We are looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst to join a growing technology team within a well-established professional services business in Dublin. This position is a strong fit for someone who wants to build a career in IT support in a fast-moving environment that serves a large internal user community across several business areas.

The role offers a team-oriented culture, access to training and development, and the chance to work with modern Microsoft tools and enterprise-level support systems.

What you will do

As the first line of support for end users, you will provide responsive technical help and a professional customer experience across hardware, software, and collaboration tools. You will handle incidents and service requests, support Microsoft-based systems, and work to agreed service levels.

  • Deliver technical assistance to users by phone, email, remote tools, and face to face.
  • Investigate and fix issues related to hardware, applications, and operating systems.
  • Support Windows desktop and laptop environments.
  • Set up, image, deploy, and maintain user devices.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access changes.
  • Support mobile devices and MDM platforms.
  • Take ownership of incidents and requests from initial logging to final resolution.
  • Prioritise tickets effectively and close them within SLA commitments.
  • Assist with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and hybrid meeting room equipment.
  • Write and update technical guides and knowledge base content.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, networking, and end-user computing colleagues.
  • Help drive service improvements and better support processes.
  • Join an on-call rota when needed.

What we are looking for

You should have experience in a busy IT support setting, along with strong troubleshooting ability and a customer-first mindset.

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT Service Desk, IT Support, or Desktop Support.
  • Background supporting users in a corporate or professional services setting.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Exchange Online.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Experience with device imaging, rollout, and configuration.
  • Understanding of IT ticketing tools and ITIL practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Intune experience.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management tools and practices.
  • Exposure to Azure.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Teams.
  • Comfort working in hybrid Microsoft environments.

What is offered

  • Hybrid working pattern with 3 days in the office.
  • Exposure to up-to-date Microsoft technologies.
  • Good learning and career development opportunities.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • The opportunity to join a respected professional services organisation.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
