Role overview
ACCESS Group, Inc. is hiring a full-time Infant Teacher Assistant for its Little Rock, AR location. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and pays $15 per hour.
This role supports the earliest stage of a child’s development by helping provide a safe, caring, and responsive classroom experience for infants. The assistant works closely with the lead teacher to maintain routines, nurture trust, and encourage healthy growth and early learning.
About the program
ACCESS runs early childhood classrooms where children with developmental delays and typically developing children learn together. These classrooms are supported by teachers as well as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists who collaborate with children and staff each day.
What you will do
You will partner with the lead teacher to support day-to-day classroom care, help infants feel secure, and contribute to an environment that encourages exploration and development. The role calls for someone who can respond to each child’s needs, follow predictable routines, and build positive connections with families.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Help carry out classroom routines, activities, and transitions as directed by the lead teacher
- Provide close supervision and attentive care throughout the day
- Support feeding, diapering, and other basic personal care tasks
- Take part in age-appropriate developmental and learning activities
- Assist in keeping the classroom safe, tidy, and inviting
- Maintain courteous, professional relationships with families

Requirements
- Previous professional experience caring for infants is required
- Experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or similar early childhood setting is preferred
- Understanding of infant development and age-appropriate care practices
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a classroom team
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing personality
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass pre-employment background checks
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
