Role Overview
The Incharge - SAS will oversee the on-site rollout and fine-tuning of Substation Automation Systems. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth system deployment, fitment with site infrastructure, and compliance with technical as well as operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage EPC, O&M, and vendor agreements throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Track adherence to all contractual terms, duties, and deadlines.
- Keep contract files, records, and modification logs organized and up to date.
- Review and assess variation orders, change requests, and extension-of-time claims.
- Draft, examine, and negotiate claims with contractors and vendors.
- Support dispute handling using well-documented evidence and records.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and help shape mitigation plans.
- Work closely with legal, procurement, and project teams on contract interpretation.
- Monitor the financial impact of changes and claims.
- Coordinate with Project Execution, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
- Assist with contract negotiations and closure activities.
- Ensure contract actions stay aligned with project goals and schedules.
Qualifications
This position calls for a B.E. or B.Tech degree, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering. The ideal candidate should bring 8 to 12 years of experience in contract management within infrastructure, power, or renewable energy projects. Exposure to EPC contracts, FIDIC conditions, and large-scale solar or wind projects will be an added advantage.
