Role overview
The Machine Shop Incharge will take ownership of day-to-day shop floor operations, with a focus on producing precision-machined components safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The position calls for strong coordination across manpower, equipment, workflow, and output targets to ensure smooth manufacturing performance.
Key responsibilities
This role includes planning and supervising machine shop activities, balancing resources, monitoring equipment availability, and guiding the team to achieve delivery, productivity, and quality goals. It also involves driving process improvements, maintaining compliance with safety practices, and working closely with engineering and production teams to support broader manufacturing objectives.
Technical requirements
The position requires experience in CNC machine shop operations, particularly in heavy precision machining. Candidates should be comfortable working with CNC control systems, machining methods, tooling, gauging, and basic programming or CAM-related tasks.
- Hands-on exposure to CNC shop operations in heavy precision machining
- Working knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc and Siemens, along with program refinement
- Understanding of GD&T, process capability, and in-process inspection methods
- Familiarity with tool selection, including carbide and CBN tooling, grade selection, nose radius, and tool presetting
- Basic knowledge of fixture planning and work-holding or clamping methods
- Awareness of coolant usage, cutting parameters, and approaches to reduce chatter
- Exposure to basic CAM tools such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, or Edgecam

This role is based in Chorasi, Gujarat, India and is a full-time onsite position.
