Role overview

Puratos is hiring a Hygiene Operative to support its growing Buckingham site. This night-shift role is focused on keeping the food production environment clean, safe, and compliant with strict hygiene standards. The position is suitable for someone who takes pride in detail, works proactively, and understands the importance of Food Safety and Health & Safety in a manufacturing setting.

Shift details

This is a night position based in Buckingham. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 22:00 to 06:00. There is 1 vacancy available and the expected start is as soon as possible. The salary is £27,500 plus a 25% shift allowance.

What you will do

• Follow detailed cleaning plans and standard operating procedures to keep machinery, equipment, and production areas hygienic and food-safe.
• Work carefully with allergens and raw materials to prevent cross-contamination and maintain full compliance with hygiene controls.
• Complete traceability checks, surface swabbing, and audit support tasks so the site remains ready for inspections.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and R&D teams to sustain standards and contribute to ongoing improvements.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely, follow all health and safety rules, and help train new colleagues to maintain hygiene excellence.
