Role summary

This is a part-time contract opportunity for an HR specialist supporting a client through remote work from anywhere. The position focuses on bringing practical human resources expertise to help improve AI-related workflows and training data quality, with an emphasis on modern HR operations and policy work.

The selected professional will contribute hands-on knowledge that helps refine AI systems used in HR contexts. The assignment is geared toward someone who can translate real-world HR practices into clear, accurate, and useful inputs for product and model improvement.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $10 to $36 per hour.

Key responsibilities

  • Refresh and refine HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard document templates so they align with current best practices and compliance expectations.
  • Map out onboarding and employee-lifecycle processes, then identify ways to make them more efficient and consistent.
  • Provide guidance on compliance matters and employee-relations situations, and create reference materials that can support training and decision-making.
  • Develop and assess employee-facing communications and change-management approaches to improve clarity and organizational messaging.
  • Use practical HR knowledge to evaluate and improve AI-based HR tools, resources, and outputs.

Required background

  • Hands-on experience in HR policy creation, HR operations, and compliance work, with familiarity with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to build clear employee communications.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for reviewing and improving HR processes.
  • Comfort working independently while also collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Openness to working with AI tools in an HR setting and contributing domain expertise to their development.
