Job description
Position Summary
POET Technologies is hiring a careful and proactive Human Resources Specialist to oversee a broad range of HR activities across the employee journey. The role combines talent acquisition, payroll, HR administration, and compliance work to help ensure smooth and effective HR support for the organization.
Talent Acquisition
- Run the recruitment process from candidate sourcing through to onboarding support.
- Work with hiring managers to clarify headcount needs and role requirements.
- Identify, assess, and coordinate candidates through different hiring channels.
- Draft job postings, keep recruitment documentation up to date, and assist with hiring reports.
- Support offer documentation, employer branding efforts, and career fair activities.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Handle onboarding and exit processes, including orientation activities.
- Prepare employment documents such as contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR communications.
- Keep employee records and HR systems accurate and current.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and other HR-related projects.
Payroll, Benefits, and HR Administration
- Ensure monthly payroll is processed correctly and on schedule.
- Administer CPF contributions, leave records, attendance, claims, and employee benefits.
- Support income tax submissions and required statutory filings.
- Coordinate with external vendors on HR operational matters.
- Assist with HR reporting, HRIS upkeep, and vendor coordination.
Compliance and Work Pass Administration
- Manage MOM work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations.
- Help ensure adherence to employment legislation, company policies, and statutory obligations.
- Maintain complete and properly organized HR records and documentation.
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
- At least 2 years of generalist HR experience, with exposure to both recruitment and HR operations.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and Singapore HR practices, including CPF, tax, and MOM work pass matters.
- Strong understanding of local employment laws and common HR practices.
- Good communication, coordination, and people skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Highly organized, precise, and able to manage sensitive information with discretion.
