Role overview
The organization is looking for a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to support day-to-day people operations. This position is important to fostering a healthy workplace by handling employee relations, providing payroll assistance when needed, and managing the HR inbox so employee and business queries are addressed quickly and professionally.
Employee relations
- Act as the main contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
- Work closely with leaders and managers to resolve employee relations matters in a way that aligns with company policy and employment law.
- Carry out internal investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Help strengthen workplace culture by contributing to employee engagement activities.
Payroll support
- Step in to support the payroll team during busy periods, staff absences, or whenever additional help is required.
- Check payroll information carefully to make sure it is accurate and compliant with company rules and relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with the Finance team and third-party payroll vendors to keep payroll processing on schedule.
- Help with payroll audits and reporting tasks.
HR mailbox and operations
- Keep an eye on the shared HR inbox and reply to queries promptly and professionally.
- Escalate complex, sensitive, or time-critical issues to the right HR team member.
- Look for repeated questions or patterns that could be turned into better FAQs or process improvements.
- Assist with HR operations such as onboarding, offboarding, and rolling out policy updates.
- Help revise HR documents and procedures as needed.
- Maintain employee records while following data privacy requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and generalist responsibilities.
- Working familiarity with payroll processes and HRIS/payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, or UKG.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, along with a polished professional approach.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
