Company Overview
The hiring organization is a Minneapolis-based retained executive search firm focused on global searches for senior and executive leadership. It supports organizations in building strong leadership teams and future talent pipelines, drawing on deep business-sector knowledge, market insight, and strategic recruiting guidance to help clients find the right talent.
Role Overview
This is a senior, hands-on Human Resources Director position for an HR generalist who is comfortable owning the full HR function independently. The role is execution-heavy and covers payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, HR systems, and records management. The role is onsite and manages the human capital function from offer letter through onboarding and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
The position includes full-cycle payroll management, employee relations, HR operations, compliance oversight, benefits administration, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation benchmarking, HRIS ownership, and HR budgeting. It also requires close partnership with leadership to support organizational growth, employee engagement, and company culture.
Additional Information
The role requires strict confidentiality when handling employee and company information. It also includes responsibility for other tasks as needed, as well as evaluating and implementing HR technology and assessing PEO versus non-PEO options.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $125,000 to $140,000.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring deep HR experience, leadership experience, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to independently manage a broad HR portfolio in a multi-state environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
