The organization is looking for a proactive and team-oriented HR Business Partner with 3 to 5 years of experience to join the People Experience function. In this role, you will work directly with retail leaders to connect people strategies with business goals, strengthen employee engagement, and reinforce a high-accountability, growth-oriented culture. The position suits an HR professional who is comfortable being hands-on in a fast-moving retail setting while also supporting strategic HR initiatives and everyday employee relations needs.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a reliable advisor to retail leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention approaches.
- Work with business leaders to define HR priorities that support company goals.
- Help guide organizational changes and support the rollout of new policies and processes.
- Handle employee relations investigations and resolve issues in line with applicable labor laws and internal policies.
- Coach retail managers on strong performance management practices, including feedback conversations, corrective action, and progressive discipline.
- Support managers in building a workplace culture centered on accountability and openness.
- Partner with Learning & Development to determine training needs for retail staff and managers.
- Assist with onboarding, career growth, and succession planning for key retail positions.
- Contribute to employee engagement programs and use survey feedback to help improve morale.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment rules and regulations.
- Maintain detailed employee documentation and accurate records related to employee relations matters.
- Work with HR leadership on risk reduction efforts, including workplace safety and compliance reviews.
- Review workforce data, turnover patterns, and engagement metrics to deliver insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits teams to respond to employee questions and resolve escalations.
- Support HR projects, process enhancements, and technology improvements that strengthen the employee experience.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in retail or a multi-location business.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and labor compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with leaders and employees.
- Excellent problem-solving, coaching, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using HRIS and ATS platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification, or progress toward one of these credentials, is preferred.
- Labor relations experience is preferred.
- Background in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment supporting multi-site operations is preferred.
Compensation
This role is compensated at USD 130,000 to USD 140,000 per year for remote candidates in the US.
