Job Overview
This role is for an HSE Inspector in Abu Dhabi supporting a government entity client. The position calls for a professional with 6 to 8 years of HSE experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
Role Purpose
The main objective of this position is to oversee assigned staff, apply supervisory controls aligned with management expectations, and maintain a strong safety culture across the worksite.
Key Duties
- Conduct safety inspections based on the approved schedule to identify fire risks, unsafe practices, and hazardous site conditions.
- Review accidents, confirm the proper operation of safety equipment, and prepare the required follow-up reports.
- Examine incidents and near-miss events, then document findings in a formal report.
- Ensure that breathing apparatus and resuscitation equipment are regularly inspected, maintained, and cleaned according to the required programme.
- Prepare for hot-work, naked-flame, and radiography activities, act as a permit signatory, and verify the worksite before execution.
- Contribute safety guidance to Task Risk Assessments and make sure mitigation actions are clearly reflected in work permits.
- Pass on hazard awareness and task-specific safety knowledge to the workers assigned to carry out the job.
