Role Overview
Star Union is seeking a remote HR Support Officer at entry level to assist with the everyday functioning of the human resources team. This full-time position focuses on keeping HR administration organized, supporting hiring activities, maintaining employee records, and helping improve the onboarding experience for new joiners.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will help manage digital HR files, support recruitment coordination, draft and refresh job descriptions, and respond to routine HR questions. You will also assist in rolling out HR policies, contribute to virtual onboarding and orientation, and work with team leads to encourage healthy employee relations and a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of human resources and HR management, along with an eagerness to build a career in the field.
- Familiarity with HR policies and employee relations, especially in a student or early-career environment.
- Interest in writing and improving job descriptions, including creating clear and accurate role outlines.
- Strong administrative and organizational ability, with careful attention to detail when handling records and documents.
- Clear written and spoken communication, delivered in a professional and respectful manner.
- Comfort using remote collaboration tools such as email, video meetings, and shared document platforms, plus the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Responsible handling of confidential information and a high level of discretion.
- Preference for students or recent graduates in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related area, though relevant interest or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
