Job description
About the role
This is an entry-level HR support opportunity for someone who wants to start or grow a career in Human Resources and People Operations. The role is fully remote within Australia and is suited to recent graduates, early-career professionals, and candidates who want practical exposure to day-to-day HR work.
You will help the HR team with administrative and operational tasks across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, documentation, and general people operations. The position also provides a chance to learn in a collaborative environment while contributing to core HR processes.
Key responsibilities
- Offer day-to-day administrative help to the Human Resources team.
- Coordinate interview schedules and support communication with candidates during recruitment.
- Assist with onboarding and exit/offboarding activities.
- Keep employee records and HR databases current and accurate.
- Draft HR documents, letters, and reports as needed.
- Handle employee questions related to HR policies and procedures.
- Support payroll administration and employee documentation when required.
- Help with training, engagement, and employee development initiatives.
- Protect sensitive information and follow company policies and employment regulations.
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvement efforts.
What we're looking for
- Strong administrative ability and good organizational habits.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Good time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Proactive approach and eagerness to learn.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setup.
- A collaborative, team-focused attitude.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a similar field is preferred. Recent graduates and entry-level applicants are welcome. Prior experience in administration, customer service, internships, or office support is helpful but not essential.
Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is important. Exposure to HR systems or recruitment platforms would be an advantage, as would a basic understanding of HR practices and employment procedures.
Benefits
- Fully remote work arrangement for candidates in Australia.
- Flexible scheduling with a better work-life balance.
- Structured onboarding, training, and mentorship.
- Inclusive and supportive team culture.
- Opportunities to develop a career in Human Resources and People Operations.
- Hands-on exposure to a broad range of HR tasks and projects.
- Chance to build experience within a growing organization.
