Job Overview
This full-time, office-based position in Boise, ID, offers the potential for hybrid work at the manager's discretion. The role involves serving as a key contact for HR-related inquiries, particularly concerning onboarding, and maintaining accurate employee data. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for new hire onboarding inquiries, providing prompt and accurate information and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Manage the complete onboarding process for new employees, adhering to established procedures and timelines to ensure all pre-employment requirements are met accurately and on schedule.
- Lead or support weekly New Hire Orientation sessions, delivering consistent information about company policies, culture, and values.
- Input, update, and maintain employee information in the HRIS system, guaranteeing data accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company protocols.
- Process and manage HR-related transactions, including new hires, personal information changes, and time-and-labor system updates.
- Perform regular data quality checks and resolve any identified discrepancies using predefined correction methods, escalating unresolved issues when necessary.
- Maintain precise and compliant employee records, such as I-9 forms and E-Verify documentation, in accordance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support compliance efforts by completing assigned tasks in line with company policies and deadlines.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support HR initiatives and contribute to overall organizational goals.
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency with HRIS software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Strong collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- A pronounced sense of urgency in both actions and communications.
- Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends when required.
Preferences
- Previous experience in an HR, onboarding, or shared services capacity.
- Familiarity with federal employment laws and HR compliance standards.
- Experience utilizing Paylocity.
- Experience with Fieldglass or similar vendor management systems.
Physical Demands
This role operates within an office environment. Continuous work involves sitting at a desk for extended periods, handling phone calls, and using a computer for communication. Occasional duties may require walking, standing, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
