Role overview
This full-time Human Resources position is based in Doha, Qatar, at a hotel property operated by Delta Hotels and Resorts. It is an on-site, non-management role that supports day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and compliance activities.
What you will do
- Track employee relations matters, support their resolution, and follow up on outcomes.
- Work closely with management and leadership to address HR concerns and resolve workplace issues.
- Help ensure hiring and recruitment activities follow local, state, and federal legal requirements as well as company policies and standards.
- Escalate employee relations issues to HR leadership when needed.
- Respond to employee and manager questions about HR policies, programs, and guidelines.
- Share information with employees regarding employee relations, workplace activities, and personnel policies.
- Check that employee files and records are kept complete and accurate, including interview records and I-9 documentation.
- Support the planning, coordination, and administration of annual employee surveys.
- Handle incoming calls and document messages accurately.
- Assist managers with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance reviews, counseling, discipline, and employee motivation.
- Follow company safety, security, and reporting procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Protect confidential company information at all times.
- Greet guests in line with company service standards and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and callers.
- Build positive working relationships, contribute to team goals, and respond constructively to employee concerns.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve work-related information.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements and preferred background
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent education.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- No license or certification is required.
