TOI TOI USA provides portable sanitation services and supports customers across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company is headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida.

Role Overview

This position is for a people-focused HR leader who is comfortable in fast-moving operational settings. The role goes beyond standard HR administration and requires someone who can be present across the business, build trust with employees, support managers, improve retention and engagement, and help shape a stronger, more connected workplace culture.

As the organization grows, it is investing in both technology and people. Systems such as Paylocity will be used to streamline payroll and HR workflows, while the larger opportunity is to improve the employee experience, develop internal talent, and create a culture where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to grow.

This is a hybrid position based in Fort Myers, Florida, with travel expected about once a month to support regional operations and maintain close contact with teams at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a visible and dependable HR partner across the organization.
  • Build strong working relationships with employees, supervisors, and operational leaders.
  • Support efforts to improve company culture, engagement, and retention across all sites.
  • Work with managers to strengthen communication, accountability, leadership, and team development.
  • Identify high-potential employees and contribute to internal talent growth initiatives.
  • Help improve middle-management capability and leadership consistency across the business.
  • Lead or support engagement programs, recognition efforts, and culture-building activities.
  • Coach managers on employee relations and day-to-day people leadership issues.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performance, and people-centered work environment.
  • Support recruiting for both operational and corporate roles.
  • Improve onboarding so new hires feel connected and set up for success from day one.
  • Assist with performance management, leadership development, and training initiatives.
  • Support organizational change as the company expands and adapts.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance the employee experience.
  • Manage payroll administration and ensure payments are accurate and timely.
  • Help optimize and automate HR and payroll processes, including work with Paylocity.
  • Administer employee benefits and support annual open enrollment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employee records, documentation, and HRIS administration.
  • Work with Finance and outside vendors to keep payroll and benefits processes accurate.
  • Maintain employee files, reporting, and core HR operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience in operational or multi-site environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong leadership presence with a practical, approachable, and collaborative style.
  • Background in employee engagement, retention, leadership development, and culture initiatives.
  • Comfort handling employee relations issues and coaching managers through people challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced, operationally driven environments.
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as Paylocity is preferred.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Spanish language ability is a strong advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary between $80,000 and $95,000.
  • Annual bonus opportunity of up to $15,000.
