Role overview
A client in the creative and design space is looking for a proactive and well-organized HR Generalist to handle core day-to-day people operations. This position partners with employees and managers across the full employee journey, with responsibility for onboarding, HR administration, benefits support, compliance, employee records, and HRIS maintenance. It is a strong fit for someone who wants to develop their HR career in a collaborative, people-centered setting.
What you'll do
- Support employees from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring a smooth experience at each stage.
- Keep personnel files accurate and up to date, including changes in the HR information system.
- Help manage benefits administration and respond to employee questions.
- Handle employment status updates and prepare related HR paperwork.
- Assist with performance management activities and employee engagement efforts.
- Monitor adherence to company rules and applicable employment laws.
- Contribute to HR reports, audits, and one-off projects as needed.
- Provide general administrative help to the HR team.
What we're looking for
- 1 to 2 years of experience in human resources.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to several HR functions across the employee lifecycle.
- Comfort working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organization, communication, and issue-solving abilities.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $73,000 per year. Depending on eligibility and location, the role may also come with discretionary bonus opportunities and access to medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
