In this role, you will connect people strategies with business goals in a dynamic, fast-scaling environment. The position blends strategic HR partnership with practical execution, supporting organizational performance, workforce planning, talent growth, employee engagement, and change management. You will collaborate closely with leaders to strengthen team performance, build an inclusive culture, and support employees through business transformation. Key accountabilities
- Work with leaders, managers, and employees to design and roll out people initiatives that advance business priorities and support company growth.
- Provide guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent processes, employee engagement, and leadership development.
- Use people data and organizational insights to identify risks, spot trends, and recommend practical improvements.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee growth, conflict handling, leadership capability, and team engagement.
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, career conversations, and retention efforts.
- Handle employee relations topics such as investigations, workplace issues, conflict resolution, and performance concerns with fairness and consistency.
- Partner on organizational design, restructuring, change initiatives, and workforce planning activities.
- Contribute to compensation decisions, promotions, job leveling, and annual performance and talent cycles.
- Help maintain compliance, consistency, and strong operational standards across HR policies, programs, and practices.
- Lead HR projects and cross-functional initiatives, using metrics to measure impact and improve outcomes over time.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace that balances employee experience with business needs.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 or more years in an HR Business Partner or comparable strategic HR position.
- Deep knowledge of employee relations, talent management, organizational development, leadership coaching, and performance management.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
- Background supporting high-growth, fast-moving organizations through scaling, change, and transformation.
- Strong grasp of workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people strategy development.
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business priorities while applying good judgment and discretion.
- Excellent communication, advisory, interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical thinking with experience reviewing data, identifying patterns, and turning findings into action.
- Experience managing HR projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives from planning to delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to compensation planning, organizational design, workforce planning, or change management is an advantage.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
- Experience supporting teams across multiple Canadian provinces, especially British Columbia and Ontario, is a plus.
