Job description
Job Overview
This HR Assistant role is centered on handling employee leave administration with precision and speed. The position also provides support in payroll preparation and the documentation that goes with it. The right candidate will be well organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with HR data and processes.
Leave Administration
- Collect and process leave requests manually from different business units, making sure all required details and approvals are in place.
- Upload leave records in bulk into the HR platform while following company policy and maintaining accuracy.
- Review leave entries carefully to catch and correct inconsistencies or mistakes.
- Keep employee profiles updated with the correct leave resumption dates.
- Prepare and share regular leave eligibility reports with the relevant teams.
- Analyze leave entitlements in detail and flag any concerns or improvement opportunities.
- Handle employee questions about leave balances, rules, and procedures.
Payroll Support
- Support monthly payroll preparation by collecting and validating data such as attendance, leave records, and any additions or deductions.
- Arrange and compile documents needed for payroll processing, including timesheets, leave forms, and related records.
Additional Duties
- Assist with other administrative HR work as assigned by the Line Manager.
- Safeguard all confidential employee information at all times.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in HR administration, preferably with a strong background in leave management and/or payroll assistance.
- Working knowledge of HRIS/HRM platforms, with bulk data upload experience considered a strong advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with HRIS/HRM systems.

This is an onsite position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
