About the Role
This is a fully remote opportunity for a careful, dependable HR Administrative Assistant who enjoys variety in their day. In this role, you will support recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and core HR operations for multiple behavioral health clients. The position is well-suited to someone who is detail-focused, comfortable working across several systems, and motivated by work that supports mission-driven care organizations.

Atlantic Health Strategies works with behavioral health organizations that need support in compliance, licensing, accreditation, operations, and administration. The firm serves providers across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, and mental health treatment settings. Its work focuses on helping organizations meet regulatory expectations, strengthen internal systems, and build sustainable programs centered on quality, integrity, and long-term outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain employee information accurately in HRIS tools.
- Keep digital personnel records organized and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support benefits enrollment and answer routine employee questions, escalating more complex issues when needed.
- Prepare and track HR documents such as offer letters, employment verification letters, and policy acknowledgments.
- Coordinate onboarding steps for new hires across multiple client organizations.
- Follow up with hiring managers to make sure onboarding tasks are finished on schedule.
- Support completion of I-9 and E-Verify processes in line with federal requirements.
- Handle confidential employee information carefully and in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates during the recruiting process.
- Conduct initial screening calls and log candidate feedback in the ATS.
- Help create job postings and maintain active candidate pipelines.
- Assist with audits, tracker updates, and ad hoc HR reports.
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement work as needed.
- Keep HR workflows organized and support project updates in ZohoProjects.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related area.
- At least 2 years of experience in HR, administrative support, or recruiting coordination.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and close attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving remote setting.
- Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
- Preferred: experience with HRIS tools such as Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, or OnPay.
- Preferred: familiarity with ATS platforms such as Zoho Recruit or similar systems.
- Preferred: knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, and multi-state HR compliance.
- Preferred: prior support of onboarding processes across multiple locations or organizations.
- Preferred: experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or another regulated industry.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $52,000 per year, with pay adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
