Job description
About the Role
The Sebel Noosa is set between Main Beach and the Noosa River, offering Hamptons-inspired one- and two-bedroom apartments just a short walk from the shops and cafés of Hastings Street. The surrounding area gives plenty of ways to unwind, from beach walks and yoga to surfing and exploring Noosa National Park.
Role Purpose
As a Houseperson, you play an important support role within the housekeeping team. You will stay busy moving around the property, helping room attendants and public area attendants with whatever is needed. This includes delivering guest requests to rooms, keeping linen, towels, and amenities stocked for the team, and collecting used linen for laundering. Your willingness to step in wherever required helps keep the guest experience smooth and comfortable.
Primary Duties
- Respond quickly to guest requests by delivering items such as amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and by collecting items from rooms when needed.
- Work closely with housekeeping colleagues to make sure tasks are completed on time.
- Collect soiled linen from guest rooms and take it to the correct holding area.
- Support the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas when assistance is required.
- Use chemicals and cleaning products safely, protect guest privacy and security, and report maintenance concerns without delay.
- Offer friendly service to guests by answering questions, addressing concerns, and sharing accurate information about the property’s facilities and features.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate brings a warm, approachable manner and makes guests and coworkers feel comfortable. You should be detail-oriented, work with efficiency, manage your time well, and take pride in delivering quality work. This is a physically active position that may involve internal and external stairways, open walkways, and pushing heavy trolleys and equipment. You should also be comfortable working with people from different backgrounds. Reliable transport and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, are required.
