Job description
Position Summary
Al Ain Rotana is looking for a motivated, guest-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor who can help deliver high service standards and practical solutions for hotel guests. This role is based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize daily task allocations for Housekeeping Attendants.
- Distribute room keys and cleaning supplies to the housekeeping team.
- Monitor rooms marked as VIP, Do Not Disturb, Sleep Out, and Double-Lock, then respond accordingly.
- Participate in daily briefings and act on special instructions.
- Verify guest check-outs before marking rooms as vacant.
- Handle guest special requests promptly and appropriately.
- Inspect cleaned areas with a checklist to confirm cleaning quality, room supplies, and any maintenance issues that need reporting.
- Complete relevant reports and submit found items to the lost and found section.
- Oversee cleaning activities in guest rooms, corridors, and stairwells.
- Support and train Housekeeping Attendants and update the supervisor on individual performance.
- Help manage inventory and ensure housekeeping tools and equipment are used correctly and kept in good condition.
Education and Experience
Applicants should have a diploma or vocational training in hospitality, along with prior junior supervisory experience in a hotel housekeeping department. Strong written and spoken English, good interpersonal skills, and solid problem-solving ability are important. Computer knowledge and prior experience using Opera will be considered an advantage.
