Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Housekeeping Guest Service Associate position in Daman. The role centers on keeping guest rooms and common areas clean, well-presented, and ready for use, while also providing courteous support to guests and coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth experience throughout the stay.
Key Duties
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and shared spaces to hotel standards.
- Make beds, replace used linens, sanitize bathrooms, and restock guest amenities.
- Respond quickly and politely to guest requests and special room setup needs.
- Share maintenance problems and any safety-related observations with the relevant team.
- Follow daily housekeeping checklists and established cleaning routines.
- Observe all health, hygiene, and safety procedures while handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with the front office and other departments to support arrivals, stays, and departures.
- Keep housekeeping carts neat, organized, and fully stocked.
- Handle guest belongings carefully and respectfully.
- Contribute to a clean, secure, and welcoming property environment.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have strong guest-facing etiquette, clear communication, and a service-oriented approach. Experience in guest services or similar customer-facing roles is valuable, as is a working understanding of reservations and room readiness coordination. Accuracy, speed, and the ability to follow brand cleaning standards are important for success in this role. Candidates should also be comfortable using cleaning products and equipment correctly and working across varied shifts.
Additional Information
Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations is preferred, though it is not compulsory; suitable training may be provided. The job may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderate weights for long periods. The schedule can include flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on hotel needs.
