About the Role
This position is part of the Housekeeping & Laundry team at a luxury hospitality property in Downtown Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a full-time, non-management role based on site. The workplace expects a polished, guest-focused approach and strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and service standards.
What You Will Do
- Answer guest and department requests quickly and professionally.
- Prepare the housekeeping cart with the required supplies and move it to the assigned work area.
- Enter rooms only after following proper access procedures and confirming the room is vacant.
- Restock guest amenities and in-room supplies.
- Change soiled linens and terry items and replace them with clean ones.
- Make beds and fold terry items neatly.
- Clean bathrooms thoroughly.
- Remove rubbish, used linen, and room service trays/items from rooms.
- Confirm that all room appliances are present and functioning properly.
- Straighten desks, furniture, and appliances in guest rooms.
- Dust surfaces, polish fixtures, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
- Vacuum carpets and carry out floor care in guest rooms and hallways.
- Follow company safety, security, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries without delay.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Store flammable materials correctly and safely.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect confidential information and handle it appropriately.
- Greet guests warmly, recognize their needs, and assist guests with disabilities when needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Work with the team to meet shared goals and quality standards.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Role Requirements
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping for long periods.
- Comfortable moving, lifting, carrying, and placing items up to 25 pounds without assistance and heavier items with assistance.
- Capable of pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and related equipment over uneven or sloping surfaces.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control for handling items of different sizes and weights.
- Ability to follow workplace procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
