Key responsibilities
- Prepare guest rooms to a high standard by making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and carrying out deeper cleaning when required.
- Restock room supplies, including linens, towels, and other guest amenities.
- Keep the housekeeping trolley organised, supplied, and moved between work areas each day.
- Respond quickly and politely to guest requests and room-related needs.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables in the correct designated locations.
- Clean public areas on a rotating schedule.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping is required.
- Experience as a room attendant or in a similar hospitality housekeeping role is preferred.
- Strong standards for cleanliness and presentation are important.
- Must be able to handle physically active work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Should communicate in a courteous, professional manner with guests.
- Needs to work efficiently and complete tasks within assigned timelines.
- Must be comfortable working closely with housekeeping colleagues and other hotel departments.
- Shift work is required, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic English communication skills are needed; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Should understand cleaning chemicals and follow safety practices.
