Job summary
In this role, you will help keep residents’ rooms and shared areas clean, safe, and comfortable. The work involves following housekeeping schedules, coordinating with nursing staff on daily cleaning needs, and maintaining sanitary standards and safety regulations.
Key duties
- Collect, wash, dry, and move linens, towels, toilet supplies, and cleaning materials in wheeled carts while keeping storage spaces orderly.
- Clean resident rooms and common spaces such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and elevators, and empty waste containers to maintain health standards.
- Disinfect equipment and surfaces with approved germicides or steam sterilization equipment.
- Dust and shine furniture and other equipment as needed.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, volunteers, community members, and coworkers.
- Help preserve residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a homelike atmosphere.
Requirements
