Role overview
Quality Inn is seeking a Hotel Clerk Supervisor to oversee front desk and related guest service operations at its Nanaimo, British Columbia location. This is a permanent, full-time onsite position with a 40-hour workweek.
Education and experience
Applicants should have completed secondary school or have an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. Prior experience of 1 year to less than 2 years is required.
Key duties
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with other teams or departments to keep operations running smoothly.
- Create work schedules and define standard procedures for the team.
- Carry out the same duties performed by the staff being supervised when needed.
- Compile and submit reports as required.
- Address operational issues, offer technical guidance, and suggest improvements to raise productivity and service quality.
- Support guests and clients who have special needs.
- Allocate tasks, review completed work, and monitor performance.
- Recruit and train employees on job responsibilities, safety practices, and company policies.
Working conditions
