Role Overview

This role is part of the housekeeping and laundry function at a luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and assigned areas to the property’s standards while supporting a polished guest experience through attentive service.

Key Duties

• Receive the master key at the start of duty and return it properly after use.
• Collect work assignments accurately, complete them correctly, and hand them back as required.
• Service guest rooms every day and prepare them to the expected standard.
• Carry out nightly turndown service on a daily basis.
• Organize guest belongings carefully according to established procedures.
• Keep the assigned work area neat, orderly, and sanitary.
• Clean and care for marble and granite flooring each day.
• Maintain guest rooms, carpets, wallpaper, furniture, and bathrooms in clean condition daily.
• Clean and maintain carpets, wallpaper, and furniture in guest corridors daily.
• Report damaged fixed assets, furniture, and equipment promptly.
• Submit all lost-and-found items to Housekeeping.
• Escalate any unusual or suspicious guest or staff behavior.
• Follow grooming and uniform rules consistently.
• Comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Perform duties in a courteous, safe, efficient manner in line with hotel policies and procedures.
• Support the brand standard of highly personalized and uncompromising service.
• Help sustain a workplace that looks after both guests and associates.
• Work any shift allocated by housekeeping management or a supervisor.
• Keep public areas such as the lobby and public restrooms clean and presentable.
• Report damage to carpets and upholstery when observed.
• Use cleaning chemicals only as directed by hotel instructions.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in clean, usable condition.
• Ensure the same grooming and uniform standards are followed by all associates.

Qualifications

• A graduation degree is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping or a related service-industry role is required.
• Ability to work any shift assigned by the supervisor is necessary.
• Candidates should be able to handle dusty and unclean working conditions.
• Simple reading and writing in English is required.
