Iceland Foods is seeking a Home Delivery Driver in Taunton, England. This is a full-time, on-site position offering an hourly rate of £13.71. The role is suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting with customers while representing the brand on the road.
What the job involves
As a Home Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering groceries to customers and acting as the customer-facing representative of the company. The role combines driving, manual handling, customer interaction, and occasional support in store.
Responsibilities
- Load the van safely, including managing heavier items and following manual handling guidance.
- Drive in line with road safety standards at all times.
- Carry out routine checks on the delivery van before use.
- Make sure groceries reach customers in excellent condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service during every drop-off.
- Support store operations when additional help is needed.
- Work on your own initiative and use time effectively.
- Be available for flexible shifts, with working hours that may fall anywhere between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Requirements
- Hold a full driving licence that has been valid for at least 3 years.
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence.
- Bring a friendly, positive attitude and a genuine focus on customer experience.
- Be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working to deadlines.
- Show a strong understanding of safe driving and road awareness.
