Role overview

Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver in Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, Wales. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and representing the business at the customer’s doorstep. The hourly pay for this role is £13.71.

What the job involves

In this role, you will deliver grocery orders safely and efficiently while making sure customers receive their shopping in excellent condition. You will also serve as a visible point of contact for the company, so a strong service mindset is important. The role may also include helping out in-store when needed.

Main duties

  • Follow correct loading methods for the van, including safe manual handling and lifting practices.
  • Drive responsibly and always follow road safety standards.
  • Carry out routine checks on the vehicle before and during use.
  • Make sure orders reach customers in the best possible condition.
  • Offer friendly and professional customer service during every delivery.
  • Support store operations when requested.
  • Work on your own initiative and manage your schedule effectively.
  • Be available for shifts that may fall anywhere between 6am and 11pm.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will hold a full driving licence that has been valid for at least 3 years and carries no more than 6 points. You should be upbeat, approachable, reliable, and committed to delivering a positive customer experience. The role also calls for punctuality, the ability to meet deadlines, and a strong understanding of safe driving.
