The organisation is committed to high-quality service, innovation, staff growth, and making a meaningful contribution to the lives of the people it serves.
About the Position
Lutheran Homes Group is seeking a dependable and compassionate Home Care Cleaner to become part of its Home Care team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable spaces and wants to support older people living independently in their own homes.
Key Duties
- Provide thorough cleaning services in clients’ homes throughout the community.
- Work flexibly across a range of tasks under the direction of the Hotel Services and Home Care teams.
- Travel to several Adelaide locations, including Glynde, Fullarton, and Hope Valley; therefore, a dependable vehicle and a current Australian driver’s licence are required.
- Assist from time to time with cleaning duties in LHG residential care homes when additional support is needed.
Experience and Skills Needed
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar cleaning position, with a solid understanding of commercial-style cleaning practices.
- Ability to deliver consistently high standards while following safety procedures and tailoring work to client needs.
- Confidence to work alone or collaboratively with others.
- Strong, respectful communication skills when dealing with clients and coworkers.
- Good knowledge of cleaning agents, their safe handling, and how to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Special Requirements
- This position is subject to NDIS risk assessment, so a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is mandatory.
- Current vaccinations aligned with government health guidance, including COVID-19 and influenza, are recommended.
- A pre-employment medical assessment is required during the hiring process.
Why This Role May Appeal
- Join an organisation guided by strong values and a clear service mission.
- Contribute to a vital support function that helps enable quality care.
- Be part of a supportive workplace that offers opportunities to learn and make an impact.
