Job description

About the organisation

Whakatāne District Council is a community-focused employer where the work is centred on serving others and making a positive difference. The team values continuous learning, teamwork, and balancing hard work with enjoyment. Staff can access benefits such as free swimming pool entry and five weeks of annual leave. The location also offers easy access to rivers, lakes, forests, beaches, and walking tracks.

About the role

This position is for a motivated Holiday Park Team Leader to oversee operations at the Whakatāne Riverside Holiday Park. The role involves guiding a small, enthusiastic team to deliver excellent standards and memorable stays for guests.

You will lead by example to maintain a safe, cost-conscious, and positive working environment. The role includes supporting staff, promoting the business, and providing training so financial and non-financial performance goals are achieved.

You will also help market the holiday park through social media, direct promotions, radio advertising, and updates to the holiday park website in collaboration with council marketing.

Working pattern

This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week. The position may require rostered weekend work and public holiday shifts depending on business needs. Applications are being considered as they are received, and the organisation is aiming to appoint as soon as possible.

About you
