Job description

Overview

This opportunity is for a Higher Level Assistant Psychologist role within the Lambeth CAMHS service. The post involves supporting children, young people and their families under supervision, with work spanning assessment, research and evaluation. The service supports under-18s across Lambeth who have a variety of mental health needs, and operates with different multidisciplinary team setups. The team is committed to SLAM values and to delivering collaborative, evidence-based care of a high standard. Role summary

You will work in Lambeth CAMHS at a community site and may need to travel occasionally as part of the job.

Key duties

  • Support practitioner psychologists in providing a specialist applied psychology service within Lambeth CAMHS.
  • Deliver clinical work required by the service while working under the clinical and professional supervision of a practitioner psychologist.
  • Contribute to clinically related administration, audit activity, statistical data collection, audit and research project development, teaching, and project-based work.
  • Work with an appropriate level of autonomy, follow the service’s clinical guidance, policies and procedures, and seek advice or escalation from a clinical or professional supervisor or manager when needed.
