Role Overview
Delteq Pte Ltd is hiring a Helpdesk and Desktop Support Engineer for a permanent, full-time position in Singapore. The role centers on supporting end-user computing, maintaining IT services, and keeping core infrastructure available and secure.
Compensation and Benefits

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold a Certificate or Diploma in an IT-related discipline. The role calls for at least 3 years of experience, and the profile also references 3–5 years of hands-on work in project delivery and presales.
Work Schedule
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The selected candidate must also be available on call outside office hours, including weekends and public holidays, for urgent incidents.
Key Duties
- Set up, maintain, support, troubleshoot, install, and configure laptops, notebooks, desktop PCs, monitors, tablets, anti-malware tools, operating systems, office productivity software, Adobe Acrobat, and related client connectivity.
- Handle managed service activities such as incident management, service requests, problem resolution, change requests, configuration tasks, and reporting.
- Support helpdesk operations across servers, LAN/WAN, cabling, video conferencing, backups, offsite backups, switches, and firewalls while maintaining 24/7 availability.
- Diagnose issues affecting PCs, devices, networks, and servers, then deliver both immediate fixes and longer-term solutions.
- Verify that backup and restoration jobs are completed correctly every day.
- Review the existing IT environment, identify weaknesses, and recommend or implement improvements and safeguards.
- Monitor system and network usage trends to improve availability, resilience, and security.
- Configure VIP devices and internet access, resolve urgent issues, and ensure mobile and other devices can receive email properly.
- Manage server, storage, application, disaster recovery, audiovisual, and security infrastructure operations on customer premises or in the cloud.
- Support the implementation of IT controls, policies, processes, and audit-compliance measures.
- Maintain continuous service delivery by tracking SLAs and monitoring day-to-day system performance.
- Review the wider information and systems landscape across the group and drive infrastructure improvements that strengthen business outcomes and reduce risk.
- Carry out rack mounting, operating system installation, and PC cloning.
- Manage software licensing, hardware and software inventories, asset tagging, and cable patching and labelling for network ports and end-user devices.
- Handle vendor coordination and submit monthly fixed-asset updates end to end.
- Prepare and submit weekly status reports.
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of troubleshooting PCs, networks, and servers.
- Experience with Windows Server Active Directory domain services, including administration, troubleshooting, health checks, and tuning.
- Background in implementing and maintaining backup solutions.
- Ability to work independently and find solutions using both online and offline resources.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Organized, proactive, and self-driven, with the ability to work with little supervision and contribute as a team member.
- HPE ASE certification is mandatory.
