About the role
This position is for a helicopter captain responsible for operating AW169 aircraft safely and efficiently on VIP and VVIP transport missions. The role calls for a consistently high level of compliance, professionalism, and operational discipline.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out flights in line with all applicable aviation rules, company operations manuals, standard operating procedures, and security standards.
- Apply every necessary safety measure throughout each stage of flight.
- Confirm that the aircraft is airworthy and that all mandatory documents, equipment, and approvals are current and available.
- Complete detailed pre-flight preparation, including mission planning, hazard assessment, weather review, and crew briefings.
- Assign duties to crew members and any other appropriate personnel.
- Promote coordinated teamwork and share essential information so all stakeholders can carry out their roles safely and effectively.
Qualifications and experience
- A current AW169 type rating is required.
- Around 1,000 hours on type is preferred.
- A minimum of 3,000 total helicopter flight hours is required.
- At least 500 hours of pilot-in-command experience is required.
- At least 100 pilot-in-command hours on type is required.
- Hands-on experience in multi-crew helicopter operations is needed.
- Background in VIP or VVIP helicopter operations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, operating procedures, and safety management practices is essential.
- English proficiency is required.
- Good communication and leadership abilities are important.
- The ability to perform effectively in complex and high-pressure environments is needed.
