Role overview

Astrea Group is hiring a dependable Heavy Vehicle Driver for its UAE operations. This role is suited to someone with solid experience handling heavy vehicles, a strong focus on safety, and a valid UAE Trailer Driving License (Category No. 4). The driver will support the movement of materials, equipment, and goods across multiple project locations throughout the UAE.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate heavy vehicles and trailers safely while following UAE road rules and the company’s safety standards.
  • Move materials, equipment, and goods between company sites, warehouses, factories, suppliers, and project locations.
  • Carry out routine daily checks on the vehicle and flag any faults or repair needs.
  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in a condition fit for road use.
  • Make sure all deliveries are carried out correctly, safely, and within the required timeframe.
  • Prepare and maintain trip logs, mileage records, fuel usage reports, and delivery paperwork.
  • Handle loading, unloading, and cargo securing according to proper procedures.
  • Work in line with company HSE rules and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Trailer Driving License (Category No. 4) is essential.
  • Holding additional UAE license categories such as 3, 6, or 8 will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of heavy vehicle driving experience within the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of UAE roads, traffic laws, and heavy vehicle safety practices.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Basic spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi is preferred, and Arabic will be considered a plus.
  • Must be physically fit, dependable, punctual, and consistently committed to safe working practices.
