Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a healthcare analytics and data operations specialist who can strengthen reporting quality, improve decision-making, and support dependable cross-functional delivery. This role focuses on building clear dashboards, improving data processes, modernizing how data is managed, and speeding up operational and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create polished, executive-facing reports and dashboards that help guide both business and clinical decisions.
- Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, turn them into measurable goals, and monitor progress against those goals.
- Drive data integration and platform modernization initiatives that improve access, reliability, and scalability for different teams.
- Deliver analytics and reporting support for health plan operations, member-focused programs, and external reporting obligations.
- Partner with technology, operations, and compliance teams to remove roadblocks and ensure accurate reporting is completed on schedule.
- Guide and support analysts and partner groups while promoting strong practices in documentation, controls, and data usage.
- Assist with bringing in new data sources and external partners to enable secure and reliable information exchange.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on analytical and reporting ability, with advanced SQL and Python skills for working with large datasets and automating recurring outputs.
- Experience with modern data ecosystems, including both cloud-based and on-premises environments, along with data storage, access, and governance improvements.
- Working knowledge of healthcare operations, especially health plan reporting and performance measurement.
- Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance requirements involved in handling sensitive healthcare data.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts such as integration, modernization, and governance from planning through execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect technical and non-technical teams, set expectations, and influence decisions.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, data operations, or a related technology support function.
- Background supporting enterprise reporting, data governance, and operational analytics in a payer or provider setting.
- History of improving efficiency, raising data quality, and reducing reporting turnaround time.
Working Conditions
This position is performed remotely and does not involve unusual hazards.
Employment Terms
This is a 3-month contract assignment running from July 20 to October 19, with a possibility of extension. The position is offered on an at-will basis, and nothing in the description should be interpreted as creating a contract beyond the stated arrangement.
