Job description

Role overview

Kansas State University is seeking a Health Educator to support Student Well-Being & Health Promotion. This role is centered on a student-first, preventive approach that helps learners build practical habits and skills for stronger health, personal growth, and academic success.

The position focuses on improving awareness and action around key well-being concerns identified through campus data, including sleep, stress, mental health, and loneliness. The educator will create and lead student programming, strengthen peer education efforts, and contribute to campus-wide health literacy initiatives that help students make informed choices.

Beyond direct education, the role also supports broader systems work that improves the student experience. This includes partnering with other campus teams to align communication and services, lowering access barriers, and using both data and student feedback to guide improvements in programs, practices, and policies.

About the department

The Morrison Family Center for Student Well-Being is the university’s education, outreach, and support unit focused on strengthening the physical, social, and emotional wellness of students at K-State. The center operates from the second floor of the K-State Student Union and also maintains a health education area at Lafene Health Center.

The team offers student support, resources, and programming such as Green Bandana Training, Sexual Assault Prevention, and Cats Connect. It also delivers education on topics like physical health, nutrition, sexual health, and wellness kits.

Work arrangement

This role is based on campus and is not remote. Employees must live in the United States when employment begins in order to comply with state law. The university cannot offer remote or hybrid work options to residents of Idaho.

  • Use campus data and student input to shape improvements in programming and policy.
  • Contribute to a coordinated campus-wide approach that integrates well-being into the student experience.

Requirements
