Role overview
Beechfield Care Group is hiring a Health Care Assistant for Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home in White's Rd, Castleknock, Dublin D15 Y977. The role supports the day-to-day care of residents and plays an important part in maintaining a high standard of comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Mount Hybla has a long history, with the original house and grounds dating back to around 1750. Role summary
The Health Care Assistant is a vital part of the multidisciplinary care team. In this position, you will help provide personal support that promotes residents' independence and overall wellbeing, while also being attentive to their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
Key duties
- Support residents with washing, dressing, and general personal hygiene.
- Carry out safe moving and handling tasks when transferring residents within the nursing home.
- Serve meals and assist residents with feeding when needed.
- Collect used trays and dishes and return them to the kitchen, keeping resident areas clean and orderly.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Assist with toileting, continence care, commode emptying, and catheter bag replacement.
- Work alongside qualified nurses to provide emotional and social support where appropriate.
- Maintain constant awareness of residents' dignity, comfort, safety, and location.
- Follow hygiene, health, and safety procedures at all times.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
