About the School

Kampala Diplomatic International School (KDIS) is an established international boarding and day school in Kampala, Uganda, catering to learners from ages 4 to 18. The campus is located on Magambo Road in Bukoto Ntinda. KDIS delivers the Cambridge International British Curriculum and supports learning through modern facilities and interactive online tools. Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-campus Headteacher position based in Kampala. The role calls for a leader who can guide the school’s academic direction, strengthen curriculum design, and maintain consistently high standards in teaching and learning. The Headteacher will help create a supportive, inclusive school culture while also working closely with faculty, students, and parents. A key part of the role is upholding the institution’s vision, mission, and core values, while ensuring compliance with international education standards.

Key Focus Areas

The position involves strategic school leadership, performance oversight of teaching staff, and active participation in parent and student engagement. The Headteacher will also be expected to champion educational quality, drive improvement initiatives, and support a thriving learning environment across the school.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of curriculum design and teaching methodology.
  • Broad understanding of educational practice and school leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities for working with staff, students, and families.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading teams, executing strategic plans, and sustaining strong academic outcomes.
  • Prior exposure to the Cambridge International British Curriculum is preferred.
  • A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous service as a Headteacher in an international school or another senior leadership position is an added advantage.
  • A clear commitment to building an inclusive and culturally diverse school community.
