Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Head Cashier position based in the Mohali district. The role is responsible for running everyday cash counter activity efficiently, ensuring correct billing, quick customer checkout, and compliance with company rules and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The Head Cashier will supervise cashier operations, coordinate shift schedules, coach team members on the job, and address billing or payment-related customer concerns. The role includes tracking cash movements, balancing cash and card collections, compiling day-end reports, and working closely with store leadership and finance teams. It also requires maintaining POS equipment and stationery, and supporting store promotional campaigns at the billing counters.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have strong skills in cash management, billing, and POS handling, with a sharp eye for accuracy. The position also calls for experience in leading a team, including training cashiers, organizing shifts, and monitoring performance. Good customer service and communication ability are important for resolving issues and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Basic numerical and analytical capability is needed to reconcile daily sales, prepare reports, and spot mismatches. Familiarity with retail operations such as discounts, returns, exchanges, and loyalty programs will be useful. The role requires willingness to work onsite in shifts, including weekends and busy seasonal periods, in a fast-moving retail environment. A minimum qualification of 12th pass is expected, while a diploma or degree in commerce, business, or a related area is preferred. Previous experience as a cashier or head cashier in retail, especially in fashion or department stores, will be an added advantage. Integrity, dependability, and compliance with cash-handling and data-security standards are essential.

Eligibility

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who can work full-time at the Mohali district location, preferably with prior retail cashiering or supervisory experience, and who meet the minimum educational requirement of higher secondary education.
