This opportunity is for an experienced Handyman/Carpenter in Taylors, South Carolina. The company is expanding its field team to support home repair and maintenance work, with a focus on skilled craftsmanship, strong customer service, and reliable job completion. The role is supported by an office team that handles incoming calls, along with company-provided van access and technology tools.

Core duties

• Handle small to medium-sized repair and maintenance jobs for residential and commercial customers.
• Discuss project needs with customers, set realistic expectations, and explain the scope and cost of work.
• Deliver a consistently positive customer experience aligned with the company’s service process.
• Work independently much of the time and manage jobs with limited supervision.
• Communicate professionally with customers, request reviews, and collect payments.
• Use the required tools and technology to document work and follow the company’s workflow.
• Wear appropriate PPE and protective booties to keep customer homes clean and protected.

Minimum qualifications

• Must live in the local service area.
• At least 8 years of paid handyman experience is required.
• Candidate must have their own tools.
• Must be eligible to drive the company vehicle and pass insurance requirements.
• Background and driving record checks are required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be capable of safely working at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Professional presentation and proper upkeep of the company vehicle are expected.

Technical experience expected

The ideal candidate should be highly capable in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom updates, kitchen improvements, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical work where permitted, floor installation and refinishing, and familiarity with building codes.
