HealthPlus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center is known as a Center of Excellence in diabetes care. Its model brings together multiple disciplines to improve patient outcomes, education, and training. The center offers evidence-based care across Diabetology, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Nutrition, and Special Infusion Therapy, and continues to advance diabetes and endocrine treatment.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a smooth and professional experience from arrival onward. The position supports the patient journey through front-desk operations such as registration, appointment coordination, insurance checks, and related administrative tasks, while maintaining accuracy, speed, and compliance with healthcare requirements.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and ensure a courteous, efficient, and polished reception experience.
- Handle patient registration, appointment booking, and updates to records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Check insurance eligibility and gather the documents and payments needed for processing.
- Confirm patient identity correctly and secure all required consent paperwork.
- Answer questions from patients both face-to-face and by phone, delivering high-quality service.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other teams to help patient movement stay organized and timely.
- Follow internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements, including DOH, DHA, and JCI standards where relevant.
- Offer simple English translation and interpretation support when needed to improve communication with patients.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, or a similar discipline.
- Prior background in customer service, front office work, patient access, or healthcare administration is preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Capability to provide basic English translation and interpretation support when required.
- Good organizational ability and the skill to manage several tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools; experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is an added advantage.
