Role overview

The Cadogan is hiring a Group & Events Sales Manager to join its sales team in Chelsea. This role sits within a luxury hospitality environment and focuses on growing group, banqueting, and event business while helping deliver memorable guest experiences.

You will be part of a property known for its heritage, refined atmosphere, and high standards of service. The position offers the chance to build your career in luxury hospitality and contribute to the continued success of a landmark hotel.

Key responsibilities

  • Work toward, and aim to outperform, the annual revenue targets set for groups and banqueting.
  • Handle incoming group and event enquiries from the first proposal through to follow-up, contract finalisation, and site inspections, with the goal of achieving strong conversion.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned key accounts through structured sales activity, increasing potential across room rates, room nights, and events in line with sales plans.
  • Develop and grow both domestic and international group and event business from existing accounts.
  • Identify fresh business opportunities and actively generate new leads.
  • Oversee event delivery from initial enquiry and contract discussions through to on-site coordination and post-event follow-up.
  • Track and manage the banqueting budget, while preparing reliable forecasts to support financial performance.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments so groups and functions run smoothly.
  • Keep up to date with market movements, competitor activity, and client expectations to support strong sales and marketing decisions.

The Cadogan A Belmond Hotel has welcomed guests since 1887 and is located in Chelsea, at the meeting point of some of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods, including Knightsbridge and Belgravia. The hotel offers a polished residential-style stay in a restored townhouse setting.

Its 54 rooms and suites combine historic character with modern luxury. Guests can also enjoy seasonal all-day dining, expertly crafted cocktails, afternoon tea in The Cadogan Lounge, and access to Cadogan Place Gardens, including private tennis courts.
