Role overview
The Greenfield Account Manager will focus on winning new business, creating new customer relationships, and securing fresh logos across the assigned territory. The role partners closely with Technical, Channel, and Marketing functions to shape and run targeted sales initiatives, while building trusted relationships with customers and senior decision-makers. Success in this position means consistently delivering and exceeding sales targets while representing TrendAI’s offerings as a dependable advisor.
Primary responsibilities
- Actively identify prospects and existing customers to accelerate adoption of TrendAI products and services.
- Grow market share within the assigned territory by shaping account-level strategies for each solution and service.
- Build strong knowledge of the territory and engage CIOs and CISOs to uncover and expand opportunities.
- Coordinate with Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Sales leadership to present the right value proposition to Channel CEOs and relevant sales and technical teams.
- Deliver quarterly revenue targets in line with business unit goals.
- Develop relationships across the partner ecosystem, including AWS, Microsoft, VMware, and Google.
- Use knowledge of security frameworks such as Zero Trust, SASE, UEBA, and XDR, along with SIEM and SOAR platforms, as an added advantage in conversations and selling.
- Keep Salesforce records current for opportunity tracking, forecasting, and account planning.
- Share timely and useful updates with internal stakeholders to support decisions.
- Strengthen customer relationships by understanding business priorities and requirements.
- Advise clients on cybersecurity initiatives and maintain engagement from demos through post-implementation support.
- Lead and contribute to client meetings and calls.
- Participate in account review sessions to discuss customer experience, service performance, feedback, and potential future CVP opportunities.
Additional responsibilities and expectations
- Work across both end-customer and channel-driven environments.
- Sell value effectively to CIO-level stakeholders in complex multi-customer scenarios.
- Bring proven account management experience in the commercial sector.
- Stay aware of competitors, emerging cybersecurity technologies, market trends such as cloud, digital transformation, and IIoT, and country regulations affecting target markets.
- Maintain a growth-oriented mindset and contribute well in collaborative settings.
- Work cross-functionally with Technical, Marketing, and Channel teams to support customer success.
- Build and leverage strong senior executive networks.
- Present complex technology in clear, business-friendly language that highlights value and benefits.
Experience and certifications
The role calls for at least 6 years of relevant sales experience, with preference for candidates who have spent some of that time in the security industry. Account management certifications such as SPIN or TAS are considered valuable, along with sales-based certifications and security certifications.
