About the Role
JJ Rhatigan & Company is a major construction contractor in Ireland, with activity across Ireland and the UK. The business is looking for a creative Graphic Designer who enjoys teamwork and visual communication. This position plays an important part in how the company presents itself, producing design work that strengthens internal and external messaging, supports employer branding, and helps build a trustworthy brand image that can boost engagement and attract new business.
What You’ll Do
- Create design assets for a broad mix of marketing and business needs, such as digital and print proposals, presentations, infographics, brochures, flyers, banners, site signage, and branded merchandise.
- Produce visual content for external channels including the website, social media, and industry platforms, as well as internal tools such as SharePoint and business applications, while keeping everything aligned with brand standards and audience needs.
- Work with the marketing team and wider business groups to develop consistent visuals for campaigns, awards, conferences, events, and employer branding activities.
- Turn ideas and information into clear, engaging visual formats, including graphs, infographics, animations, and visual stories that improve understanding and impact.
- Contribute to multimedia creation, including video overlays, animations, and interactive assets, while partnering with internal teams and outside agencies or suppliers.
- Maintain a consistent use of brand guidelines across all creative output so the company retains a strong and recognisable identity.
Requirements
- Prior experience in graphic design, video editing, or a similar creative position in a corporate, agency, or professional services setting.
- Strong command of standard design and video tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects or equivalent software of a similar quality.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of graphic and video design work.
- Excellent visual storytelling ability, with the skill to convert ideas and messages into clear, engaging, and effective designs for both internal and external audiences.
- Understanding of digital design and social media formatting requirements, along with platform best practices.
- Ability to collaborate well with others and respond constructively to feedback.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills suited to a fast-moving environment.
- Working knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
