Role overview
This temporary opportunity sits within the graphics team and offers a varied in-house design role covering both print and digital output. The work spans everything from daily newspaper visuals for the editorial function to motion graphics for social media campaigns, so the position calls for a flexible designer who can contribute across multiple formats.
What you will do
- Create visual content that helps meet the business’s expanding design needs.
- Deliver accurate, polished work quickly while staying aligned with the correct branding and tone.
- Handle several projects at once and balance the expectations of different stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation to keep creative output consistent with company standards.
- Apply and uphold brand guidelines across all design tasks.
Skills and experience needed
The ideal candidate will be an adaptable creative professional with strong design instincts, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to thrive in a busy environment. Experience in a commercial or business setting is important, along with strong attention to detail, high-standard artwork production and typography skills. You should also be comfortable planning your workload, managing time effectively, and communicating clearly in written and spoken English.
Tools and technical requirements
A solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. You should be able to work across a variety of projects while maintaining brand consistency and quality.
Working pattern
The role is based on a five-day working week and includes some evening and weekend shifts as part of a rota.
Contract length
The assignment is expected to last for 2 months initially, with the possibility of an extension.
