Job description

About the Company

DUER creates high-performance apparel that is designed to look like everyday style rather than technical gear. Its product range includes pants, shirts, and outerwear built for movement, whether the customer is biking to work, hiking a steep trail, or heading into a full day of meetings. The brand speaks to the Modern Outsider: someone who is active, driven, environmentally conscious, and unwilling to compromise on comfort or style.

Creative design is central to how DUER communicates that identity. From launches and campaigns to packaging, store graphics, and digital touchpoints, visual work helps the brand feel cohesive and distinctly DUER.

The Role

DUER is hiring a Graphic Designer to join its internal creative team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Art Director and collaborating with other designers, you will help shape and expand the DUER visual language across both digital and print channels. This is a practical, hands-on position for someone with a strong eye for typography, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to keep design systems consistent as the brand expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create designs across the full brand ecosystem, including campaigns, ecommerce, email, social content, packaging, in-store graphics, lookbooks, and print materials.
  • Build and refine graphic systems that remain consistent and scalable across digital and print uses.
  • Work closely with the Art Director and design team to move the brand forward while preserving visual consistency.
  • Take ownership of projects from early concept development through to polished, production-ready final files.
  • Apply strong typographic judgment across layouts, from headline structures to long-form editorial pieces.
  • Partner with marketing, ecommerce, product, and retail teams to turn strategy into visual work that clearly reflects the DUER brand.
  • Contribute to the evolution of brand guidelines as the visual identity develops.
  • Coordinate with contractors on assigned projects.
  • Assist with campaign photo shoots when needed.

What You Bring

You should have at least 5 years of graphic design experience, ideally with some of that time spent in-house at a fashion, apparel, or lifestyle company. Your portfolio should demonstrate versatility across digital and print work, along with a thoughtful approach to typography and layout. You’ll need strong skills in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Experience designing for UI and for print production is important, along with an understanding of how each medium works.

You should also have a track record of developing and maintaining design systems rather than only producing isolated assets. Comfort presenting ideas, receiving feedback, and iterating with creative and cross-functional partners is essential. A collaborative approach, a sharp visual sense, and consistently high craft standards will help you succeed in this role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with motion graphics tools such as After Effects for social, web, or campaign content.
  • Previous in-house experience within a fashion or apparel brand.

Why Join DUER

You’ll be part of a focused creative team that delivers meaningful work quickly. The company values craftsmanship, teamwork, and building a brand with longevity. If you want your work to be visible, worn, and experienced in the real world, this could be the right environment for you.

How to Apply

Submit your resume along with a portfolio link. A cover letter is optional. The company would also like to hear about a graphic system you’ve created and what you would approach differently today.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary of CAD 70,000 to 90,000.

  • Casual dress
  • Extended health care
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
  • Store discount

Application Questions

  • Include a link to your portfolio.
  • Share an example of a graphic system you have built and explain what you would change if you were doing it now.
