Job description

About the Company

NexGel Inc. is a fast-expanding, publicly listed consumer health and beauty business with annual revenue in the $5 million to $10 million range. Its portfolio includes direct-to-consumer beauty, wound care, and digestive health brands sold through e-commerce channels. The lead brand is Silly George, a premium beauty label best known for its Pop-On Lashes, which are pre-glued lashes made for multi-day wear. The portfolio also includes Kenkoderm, a psoriasis-focused skincare brand, and Medagel, a hydrogel wound care brand.

Role Overview

The company is moving its graphic design function fully in-house and is seeking a flexible designer to take ownership of creative work across its brands. Most of the work will center on Silly George, especially lash, mascara, and tool launches, along with educational and demonstration-style creative that supports those launches. Kenkoderm and Medagel projects will appear occasionally.

This position is highly hands-on and suited to a strong all-round designer. Breadth and adaptability are important, but the main responsibility is driving Silly George creative. The team is lean, so work moves quickly and has direct customer impact. Although the role is fully remote, the selected candidate must be available during East Coast working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Create static and video creative for paid social and performance campaigns on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest in coordination with the marketing team and media partners.
  • Develop and refresh product packaging and print collateral from early concepts through files ready for production.
  • Design branded assets for websites, email campaigns, SMS marketing, and Amazon storefronts, including A+ content and brand pages.
  • Produce motion graphics and video edits for ads, social content, and product launches, including lightweight animation work.
  • Protect consistency across all channels and brands while also helping each brand’s visual identity continue to evolve.
  • Handle several projects and deadlines at the same time, shifting priorities quickly as business needs change.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably with consumer, beauty, or DTC e-commerce brands.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Ability to create and edit short-form social video, using tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software, plus comfort with AI-assisted tools that improve production speed.
  • Direct experience designing for Amazon, including A+ content and storefront pages.
  • Working knowledge of Figma, including the ability to create reusable templates for quick-turn social assets.
  • Confidence designing for performance marketing environments where creative is tested and refined using results.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong range across digital, print, and short-form video work.
  • Self-managed, well organized, and capable of balancing multiple brands without sacrificing quality or speed.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced motion graphics experience or strong After Effects skills.
  • Previous work with a beauty brand.
  • Experience in medical or healthcare marketing.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, and/or Attentive.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual pay of $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan participation, offering equity exposure in NexGel’s growth as a publicly traded company.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Why This Role

  • Take ownership of creative work across the full brand portfolio, with output spanning paid social, packaging, web, email, and Amazon.
  • Join a lean team where design decisions move to customers quickly.
  • Gain exposure to a multi-brand, multi-category business covering beauty, skincare, and wound care.
  • Participate in the ESOP while contributing to a growing publicly traded company.
