Role overview
Hasten Group is looking for a Technical Lead with strong cyber operations experience to support a major client in a fully remote setup. The position focuses on Google Cloud Security within a SOC environment and combines technical leadership with process improvement, solution design, and team guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Build and refine operational processes and procedures for the Google Cloud Security SOC to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with process and automation teams to onboard new Google products and services into the operating model.
- Review and enhance the Google technologies and tools used in the SOC to keep protection aligned with current threat landscapes.
- Partner with strategic clients to adapt SOC workflows to their needs and carry out proof-of-concept exercises.
- Define metrics and reporting frameworks to track operational performance and the effect of new solutions, including Gemini.
- Coach and support the SOC team while promoting a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Create and maintain documentation for architectures, deployment guides, and best practices.
- Help design new Google Cloud-based security offerings such as assessments and consulting services.
- Spot opportunities for operational synergy and efficiency to make better use of resources.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in cyber operations, including SOC, SecOps, or cloud security work.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, YARA-L, detection rules, and ingestion pipelines.
- Strong technical understanding of Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architectures.
- Practical exposure to Google Cloud Security solutions such as SIEM, threat intelligence, and cloud security tools.
- Minimum English level of B2, which is mandatory.
